Its the first really nice day (weather wise) that I can even remember. I have been out for a walk and to a singalong class with Sophie this morning. Now she's having a big nap and I'm looking out at our blossoming Magnolia. She obviously thinks its time for some spring blooming too.
One of my other quiet new year's resolutions (I mentioned decluttering in my last post) is to not procrastinate. To get on with things and especially to get admin and tedious things out of the way quickly and not let them pile up.
Not that I ever really find knitting tedious, but sometimes projects can slow down when it comes to finishing them off. So today I made sure that before getting on with my other projects I first sewed in the ends and the buttons for this little Kina cardi for a baby arriving soon. That I was even at this stage now before the baby is born and not a month later is further evidence that my plan for getting things done is working. I think its cute and its a fantastic pattern for new baby gifts. I might make one for Sprout too. I have a few ideas for embellishments to try out.
Now I'm working away on my new shawl design prototype. I've done a little swatch and a big swatch/first version of the design now but it needed a little something so I'm hoping it all comes together in this version as I am not sure if I will make it to a fourth attempt at this point! Its been a very relaxing afternoon and I'm feeling content.
